This year the XI edition of the ElecroCat FP will take place in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, a competition in which the Monlau Formación Profesional team will participate again after a year of absence.
The competition seeks to put into practice the knowledge acquired about the world of motorsport. The project launched by ElectroCat FP pits different students in the development of an electric vehicle prototype that will later compete on a Scalextric circuit. All teams will start from a common base provided by the organization, thus each group will have a motor, a variety of motors and batteries.
The Local Development Department of Santa Perpètua focuses on the power of promoting teamwork, promoting experimental activities that help them learn about the technical elements of electric vehicles. The objective of the organization is that the project serves to attract and promote technicians specialized in electric vehicles.
The return of Monlau FP to competition brings with it an innovative and revolutionary concept, creating a team with ambition but little funding. The Monlau FP team is made up of seven students: Victor Albet, Manel Almanza, Daniel Casares, Ivan Castellar, Alejandro Garcia, Biel Pena and Marc Rogue. A limited number compared to other centers participating in the competition.
Currently, with a well-developed design, the team is in a phase of recruiting collaborators and sponsors to help them with the parts and design of the vehicle.
