The Menorca Music Festival returns to the Balearic island with a third edition ready to fill the town of Es Mercadal with music. With an eight-day celebration at the Mercadal Fairgrounds, the new edition has confirmed the first names on its lineup: Melendi, Nil Moliner, La Oreja de Van Gogh and the Queen tribute band God Save The Queen. The event already has tickets on sale on the festival's official website.
Melendi will premiere the third edition of Menorca Music on August 2 with his new tour 20 years without news. Selling out tickets in more than 20 concerts, the Asturian will perform with his best-known songs in order to establish an intergenerational and transversal dialogue with his fans through the songs that he has presented throughout his career. Additionally, he will reinterpret old songs, including some that he hasn't performed in 15 years.
The second day of the festival will feature the tribute band God Save the Queen who will be seen after a long and successful international tour singing the best-known hits of Freddie Mercury's band. The Argentines will revive the entire range of Queen songs from their beginnings in 1973 to their latest album Made in Heaven.
On August 4, the festival will host singer-songwriter Nil Moliner, who promises to turn up the volume with his new tour in which he presents his latest album Lugar Paraíso. With the latest from Catalan, the festival will vibrate to the rhythm of Latin and Afrobeat sounds present in his new album. Author of national hits such as Soldadito de Hierro or Mi religion, Moliner is one of the most renowned singers currently, having positioned himself at number 2 on the best-selling list in Spain with his first album Bailando en la Batalla.
The band La Oreja de Van Gogh will also pass through the island, while composing songs for their next album they will be seen at the Menorca Festival to entertain the public on August 6 with their best-known songs such as Rosas, La Playa or You can tell. with me.
