Mon Laferte's Latin passion arrives in Barcelona

Mon Laferte is rightly considered a singer, artist and composer, and for that all you have to do is attend one of her concerts.

And now there is an unbeatable opportunity in the tour he is doing on Spanish stages with musical intensity and variety as main characteristics. A tour that arrives in Barcelona today (Razzmatazz, 8:30 p.m.), and which will feature the Valencian singer-songwriter Chlöe's Clue as the opening act.

In the concerts that she has been offering since her start in Alicante last month, the also Chilean activist shares in her own way a review of her seven albums with a show that can be described as very theatrical, starting with the fact that it is divided into three acts.

In this way, the winner of three Latin Grammys gives an account of some of her most relevant hits close to the great popular Latin American song. Along with them, a more intimate section for voice and guitar, and also punk and rock.

Laferte (Viña del Mar, 1983) has a brilliant curriculum as well as multiple awards as one of the greats of current Latin pop, whose main characteristic is her combination of popular traditions with indie, rock, blues, bolero, cumbia, ranchera and electronic music. .

His music, conveyed by an unmistakable voice and elaborated without a priori or filters, has been described as "a fierce attitude" (The New York Times) and "intimate and brave, addressing complex issues such as misogyny, repression and injustice, inspired by their experiences” (BBC).

The Latin American artist is (in all senses) now exploiting an art that has been forging from a very young age. In fact, her taste for her music was manifested at a very early age, which led to her recognition at that time in her native Chile.

The seven albums that Laferte -currently based in Mexico City- has released so far have generally been very well received: Desechable, Tornasol, Volumen 1, La braid, Norma, and Seis y 1940 Carmen, which appeared last year.

Proof of the extraordinary reception of her work, she is currently the most listened to Chilean artist on Spotify around the world and has received endless recognition, including a Grammy nomination.
