I have titled this series of photographs Welcome the rain. I have captured them for La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos in the Vallparadís park in Terrassa, in Vallès Occidental, where we can see in detail the drops on the leaves after the latest rainfall.

The Vallparadís park has an area of more than 364,000 square meters of green area, making it the largest urban park in Catalonia.

With more than 3.5 km in length, it crosses the city from north to south and includes several spaces such as the Torrent de Les Bruixes, the Horta dels Frares, the Piscina de Vallparadís, the Parc de les percepcions and La Devesa.

Depending on the season of the year, the landscape changes, the colors and smells are different. Now it's spring and the arrival of the rains has been a blessing for the park's vegetation.

This large green lung is also the scene of a multitude of activities for all tastes and ages, in addition to hosting major citizen events such as the Fiesta Mayor, the Jazz Festival, the Modernist Fair or the Carnival.

Inside there are some of the most emblematic heritage buildings of Terrassa such as the Cartoixa Castle, the Sant Pere churches, the Textile Museum or the Baumann House.
