Mòdul, an ecological and cultural center, wins the Lluís Carulla prize for the best project

Promote a new cultural center built in an ecological way and self-managed by the same community to which it is directed. It is the Center Ecològic Cultural de l'Hospitalet, in the Les Planes neighborhood, and with its Mòdul project, the Fundación Contorno Urbano has won the Lluís Carulla prize for cultural entrepreneurship, with which they will receive €70,000 to expand it, but also to replicate it in other places, such as the Can Roses neighborhood of Sant Vicenç dels Horts, where they are working on a facility for 2023.

The director of the Fundació Carulla, Marta Esteve, recalled that “culture is a key axis in the construction of a country, a tool for transformation and change. Today we are here to verify that culture is an opportunity to rethink the world we want to live in, to educate and generate a critical spirit, to build values, and connect with emotions in an increasingly complex and uncertain world”, and has claimed that Society places culture "at the epicenter of priorities, generates opportunities and supports cultural projects" such as those that have been submitted for the awards. "We have to invest in culture to make this world a better place," she insisted.
