Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson suspect they may be brothers

In the world of cinema and the big screen we can find friendships that have been maintained over the years. Sarah Paulson and Pedro Pascal, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, Tom Cruise and Will Smith or Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, among others, are some of the most beautiful relationships that have been born between lights, cables and cameras.

These last two actors have shared great moments in different audiovisual projects, such as EdTV, True Detective or the Apple TV comedy that is about to premiere, Brother From Another Mother, where they will play fictional versions of themselves.

Suspicions that the actors could be more than friends and share some blood relationship have come to light after McConaughey visited the Let's Talk Off Camera podcast to talk about the new series they are going to star in.

In the radio space, the actor from The Gentleman explained that, after a long friendship that has lasted several decades, the actors found out that McConaughey's mother knew Harrelson's father and that they could even have a romance and relationships sexual.

''The point where I start and he ends has always been a cloudy line. My children call him Uncle Woody and his children call me Uncle Matthew,'' the actor explained in an amused tone on the radio show.

He also told how they found out about this news: ''A few years ago, visiting Greece, we were sitting talking about how close we are and our families. My mother was there and she said, 'Woody, I met your father. We all realized the ellipses that my mother left after 'I met''.

After the incredible discovery, the couple of friends began to calculate and realized that Harrelson's father was single at the same time as McConaughey's mother, since she was just going through her second divorce.

After realizing the range of possibilities that opened up before them, the famous actor acknowledged that they even went so far as to look for "places in West Texas that the two parents could have met."

Faced with such confessions, in the interview space they asked him if he had not wanted to get to the bottom of the matter and take a test to find out the truth once and for all. Faced with such a question, McConaughey acknowledged that it is not an easy decision.

"If he (Harrelson) proposes a DNA test, I could say: 'Wait, are you trying to tell me that whoever I thought was my father for 53 years might not be?' I have more at stake '', he replied, assuring that it was easier for Harrelson to take the DNA test because he has nothing to lose.
