Former Real Madrid player Marcelo has terminated his contract with Greek Olympiacos five months after arriving. During this period the 34-year-old full-back played 332 minutes in 10 games and scored three goals. The contract he had signed was for one year, with the possibility of an extension for one more year. According to the Greek portal Sport24, Marcelo has an offer from another team, which is both competitive and financial, although the name of the club is not specified.
His acquisition from Real Madrid in September caused a wave of enthusiasm among the team's supporters - some 25,000 turned out for his welcome party at the Karaiskakis stadium. However, the Brazilian could not find a place on the left side, neither with Carlos Corberán, nor with Míchel, the current coach of the club.
