Mango reinforces its home line and signs Eva Cárdenas (former Zara Home)

Mango continues to support its growth plan, in which, in addition to international expansion, the promotion of its different divisions beyond women's fashion plays a relevant role. With this objective, the company led by Toni Ruiz is preparing to reinforce Mango Home, the home line that came into operation in 2021 and has doubled in size since then.

The income of this division in 2023 will exceed 8.7 million euros, according to Mango. And although its weight in total turnover is still small – the company estimates sales of more than 3,000 million this year – it is confident in its development potential. Proof of this is the group's decision to open its own stores for Mango Home for the first time in 2024. This product line is currently available in 32 online markets, mainly in Europe and the United States and to which Turkey and others will be added. countries next year. In the physical channel it is found in five multi-line points of sale in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona and Zaragoza. The big change, however, will come next year, when Mango Home will have two independent establishments in Barcelona and Madrid. The specific opening date and exact location has yet to be decided.

To develop this new stage, Mango has hired Eva Cárdenas, who was director of Zara Home for 16 years and responsible for the expansion of this Inditex brand. Cárdenas will join as an external advisor to the management of Mango Home with the aim of promoting its growth. Graduate in Law, with an MBA from IE Business School and a program for advisors at Esade, she has more than 30 years of experience in various multinationals in sectors such as retail, mass consumption and luxury such as Mars, Diageo, L'Oreal. Paris and Kraft. In 1999 she joined Inditex to launch its cosmetics division, which she led for three years. Later, she founded the Zara Home project. The board is a partner of the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo.

The CEO of Mango defines the signing as “a privilege” for the company. For her part, Cárdenas has been convinced that Mango Home will be able to strengthen its positioning in the home market.

In addition to the first two openings, Mango Home will continue with its product diversification, reaching up to 760 designs per season. Mango has five lines: women, men, Kids, Teen and Home.
