On a bicycle and surrounded by a large entourage, Madonna could be seen this Tuesday walking through the streets of Barcelona, where she will give two concerts on Wednesday and Thursday as part of the Celebration Tour, the tour with which she celebrates 40 years on stage. The artist herself announced her presence by posting an image of her online where she is seen leaning on a palm tree while she asks “Barcelona, are you ready?”
After suspending the North American leg of the tour due to a bacterial infection, the queen of pop began a series of 78 concerts in London on October 14 in which she will cover 40 greatest hits from her long career. The 2-hour show features the largest stage ever used on her tours, inspired by the island of Manhattan where she arrived in 1978 to launch her career.
On these stages, the artist with Italian roots will wear 17 different dresses by big names in fashion such as Versace or Jean Paul Gaultier, all supported by 24 dancers. Four of the artist's children will participate in the show, divided into four parts where songs such as Like a Prayer, Vogue, La Isla Bonita or Billie Jean by Michael Jackson will be played. A show that includes the well-known whims of the diva in the back room, such as traveling with three portable gyms, eight humidifiers in the camera or 40 pairs of boxing gloves.
