London looks for subway musicians through a casting

For two decades, the famous London Underground has chosen its musicians through a casting call. During the coronavirus pandemic the process was interrupted and, now, the Underground has decided to recover the initiative. They intend to hire several artists to help lift the spirits of travelers.

For the occasion they have called different auditions and they hope to be able to select a few of them. Of a total of 450 musicians presented, 280 made it to the list of finalists who will be chosen over ten days of castings. Its managers look for a wide variety of instruments and talents to liven up the journeys of more than three and a half million daily users.

The metro network has forty spaces reserved to offer this type of shows, which becomes an excellent opportunity for many young people who are entering the world of music and for others, more veterans, who want to entertain themselves once they retire.
