Leo Messi has decided to apologize to Paris Saint-Germain and his teammates after skipping a training session for the Parisian team and traveling to Saudi Arabia after the defeat against Lorient in the French league. “I honestly thought we were going to have the day off after the game like we've been doing for the past few weeks,” he explained.
The Argentine footballer has given his version of the facts regarding the trip but the first thing to do was to apologize. “I wanted to make this video after what is happening. First of all I want to apologize, obviously, to my teammates and the club", says Messi.
In the video, posted as a story on Instagram, the captain of the Argentine team accepts his mistake and accepts the punishment that PSG decides to impose on him. "Here I am waiting for what the club decides," he says.
In the French media it has been published that the Parisian club has decided to sanction him for two weeks. Messi has not returned to train with his teammates and has been left out of Galtier's list to travel to Troyes on Sunday.
