Electronic and avant-garde music will once again become the soundtrack of Barcelona between June 13 and 15. This 2024 edition of Sónar announced its full line-up this Tuesday, adding great figures such as Laurent Garnier, Paul Kalkbrenner, Sevdaliza, Adriatique and Kittin (formerly known as Miss Kittin), among many others. In total, 60 new artists will help fill the city with dance music and the latest trends in experimental music.

The 31st edition, which remains on its two stages of Fira Gran Vía and Fira Montjuïc, promises to once again bring together pioneers of dance music, current icons and authentic stars of techno, an eclectic and transversal program to continue confirming to the festival of the Catalan capital on the international scene.

The long-awaited event for electronics lovers will once again be configured around the spaces of Sónar by Day, Sónar by Night, Sónar D, OFF Sónar and Sónar D, a meeting of enthusiasts of the latest technologies and Artificial Intelligence applied to music and creative industries.

Three great icons of the French electronic scene will meet in the evening program, since Folamour's already announced audiovisual show will be joined by the long-awaited return to the stage of the myth Laurent Garnier and that of the legendary Kittin (formerly Miss Kittin), in a exclusive four-hand set with Dutch DJ David Vunk.

That same Sónar by Day stage will also host the fusion of pop, hip-hop and East African electronics by the Kenyan Kabeaushé and the hybrid show with live percussion by Olof Dreijer (half of the duo The Knife) with Diva Cruz.

During the busy hours, at night and early in the morning, another trio of key names will meet, in this case from the New York house scene, the one made up of the pioneering DJ, producer and remixer Danny Tenaglia, The Martinez Brothers and also already legendary Kerri Chandler.

And the parallel proposals of OFFSónar and Sónar D will be joined for the first time by a new stage, the SonarLab x Printworks, which will bring "the essence of the long-awaited British venue" and with a new format that will show the emblematic audiovisual production of Printworks London and its careful artistic selection, the organizers highlight.

For its part, the festival has also presented today the outlines of Sonar D, the international digital art and culture meeting of Sónar that brings together experimental projects and specialists to discuss the latest innovations. On this occasion, the central issue will once again be the analysis of the emergence of Artificial Intelligence and, specifically, its influence in the field of creative industries. All kinds of masterclasses, discussion forums and professional meetings will serve to delve into this issue that occupies (and worries) creativity professionals so much.

Another issue that Sónar D will address will be immersive technologies. For this debate, the cycle will bring together for the first time leading entities in the field of immersiveness worldwide such as Superblue from Miami, Monom from Berlin, Oboria Digital from Zaragoza (The Sphere, Las Vegas) and Moment Factory from Montreal.
