Lanzadera kicks off the new academic year with 120 new mobility, education or health startups

A new entrepreneurial course began this Monday at Lanzadera, the Marina de Empresas business accelerator promoted by Juan Roig in Valencia. In this new cycle, it has selected 120 new teams within its call for the month of September and they are companies that are innovating in areas such as health, food, education, mobility, social impact and the circular economy, offering in its great most digital and technological solutions where the use of artificial intelligence and SaaS models stands out.

“These 120 companies exemplify the most innovative business models in the fastest growing sectors. Once again, at Lanzadera we face the gratifying challenge of promoting them and facilitating their scalability based on the Total Quality Model”, explains Javier Jiménez, general director of Lanzadera.

The selected companies can receive from aid of 1,000 euros to financing worth 500,000 euros, depending on the needs of each one.

Lanzadera has assigned the 120 companies to one of the four phases that make up the program, depending on their degree of maturity. The Scale Up phase is aimed at mature companies that have a proven and profitable model but need help to reach new goals; the Growth phase promotes companies with potential but that seek faster growth; the Traction phase is focused on startups in the initial phase; and the Start phase is assigned to entrepreneurs who are still shaping their project. In addition, some of the companies selected in this call will collaborate with large companies through the Corporate agreements currently active in Lanzadera.

And among the new proposals, the topics of health, circular economy or mobility stand out, among others, with projects such as Loop Diagnostics, from Barcelona, which has developed a new sepsis diagnostic test that, they point out, is three times more effective and 10 times faster than other tools available on the market.

Or like the Cantabrian Suntropy, a digital platform for solar energy companies that helps them in their mission to accelerate the energy transition. In total, and from its foundation in 2013 until today, Lanzadera has promoted more than 1,000 companies and has provided more than 21 million euros in loans. Currently, more than 300 companies are receiving the support of Lanzadera at its facilities in the Marina de València.
