The CUP militancy has chosen Laia Estrada as its candidate for the presidency of the Generalitat in a vote that began on Sunday and ended this Monday at noon.
Estrada, who has been a deputy in this legislature, was elected as head of the list for Tarragona and will now assume this role on the list for Barcelona.
The militants had to choose between two options, that of Estrada, or that of Laure Vega with whom they competed in this vote and who will finally occupy the number two position in the CUP candidacy.
Estrada, who like Vega, her rival in this vote, is a member of Endavant – one of the formations that makes up the CUP – obtained 542 votes and will be formally presented at an event this Wednesday.
