'La Vanguardia' launches the activities of the Readers' Network

"Great", "quite an experience", "a great initiative", "a pleasure to be able to participate", "of great interest", "very nice and very well coordinated", "excellent professionalism"... These are some of the opinions of the participants in the first journalistic activities, linked to current events, organized within the La Vanguardia Readers Network.

From now on, the news will be more alive than ever and readers will be able to experience it live and direct while contributing their knowledge, skills and creativity. To do this, they can now access a series of activities designed to strengthen ties between readers and enhance their connection with the newspaper through active participation in expert debates, street level reports, attending cultural shows or accessing master classes. theoretical and practical with journalism professionals. In these classes, they can learn up close how La Vanguardia is made and learn knowledge of photography, design or writing.

"The idea is great and it is an honor to have participated," highlights Narcís Serrat, one of the readers who has been able to experience, in the editorial office of La Vanguardia, the master class on social portrait taught by Xavier Cervera, head of photography and documentation of the diary. "A great teacher, professional, close, I had a great time," says Serrat, who, like the rest of the participants, has had the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge acquired by subsequently making a report on the phenomenon of homelessness in Barcelona, which was published this Sunday on the La Vanguardia website.

Readers have been able to portray and interview the users and workers of the Llar Pere Barnés and the La Troballa workshop of the Arrels foundation. Another of the first activities that have been launched are the expert reader debates, which take place on the set of the La Vanguardia editorial office with the collaboration of the audiovisual team led by Eva Niñerola. "It has been a very interesting experience, the intervention times in the debate of each participant have been respected, there has been a lot of professionalism in the filming and in the subsequent publication on the newspaper's website of the video summary of all the interventions," he details.
