L'Hospitalet decorates its electrical installations with urban art

Electrical installations are not exactly the most beautiful spaces in cities, but with a little care they can even have their charm. This is what the Art with energy project seeks, which this Thursday was presented by Endesa and the Hospitalet de Llobregat City Council.

As explained by the company in a statement, the company gave electrical installations to l'Hospitalet so that young artists from Catalonia's second city could decorate them with urban art.

The initiative is already present in the neighborhoods of Bellvitge, Collblanc, la Torrassa, Pubilla Cases, Florida, Can Serra and Santa Eulàlia. In total, twenty installations have already been used as an outdoor canvas.

In this first edition, the topic to be addressed was the environment and sustainability, but the commitment "has the possibility of having a second phase in the short term." Some of the participating artists were Yanett Tenorio, Mireia Ocaña, Abraham López and Luis López.

But the project also had the participation of associations in the territory, such as the Pubilla Cases esplai, the Planes-Associació Acció Socioeducativa space, the Itaca educational association and the Alpi association. Thus, the project also achieved an integrative nuance. Previously, Endesa carried out similar initiatives in Zaragoza and Granada.
