Junts proposes to create the Catalunya brand in the image of the Barcelona brand

If Junts per Catalunya heads the next Catalan executive, it will promote the creation of the Catalunya brand for its international promotion, in the image of the Barcelona brand. This was revealed by former president Carles Puigdemont and businesswoman Anna Navarro, number two in the candidacy, this Tuesday in a conversation in Perpignan, in the south of France, in which they addressed the Catalan economic situation. This aspect is one of the issues on which the post-convergents plan to put more emphasis in the electoral campaign for the Parliamentary elections on May 12.

Navarro, linked to the technology business sector, returned from San Francisco to Catalonia just a few days ago after more than 30 years in the United States, where she has been linked to Silicon Valley. "We need to finish explaining the Catalunya brand, that it is not just Barcelona," said Navarro, who adds that "Barcelona is very good and everyone starts in Barcelona" on her trip to Catalonia.

Likewise, Navarro, who revealed that he collaborated so that the Catalan language was incorporated into Google and Spotify services, pointed out that it is necessary for Catalan companies to "digitize and internationalize", with a clear commitment to added value. He has also defended, as JxCat has been doing for some time, the need to reduce bureaucracy.

Without leaving aside the economic issue, in this dialogue, the businesswoman stressed that to help improve the Catalan economy it is necessary to improve the connectivity of the El Prat airport. This last issue has been claimed by the post-convergents clearly in recent years and is also a claim by the business sector and Catalan employers' associations. Without going any further, yesterday Foment del Treball, which met with Puigdemont in Perpignan, recalled its demand for the expansion of the infrastructure and that it be connected to the high-speed train stations.
