Junts per Catalunya and PSC put pressure on the Government with motions on infrastructure

The Parliament has approved this Thursday in plenary a motion of Junts per Catalunya in which the promotion of various Catalan infrastructures is claimed, including the Ronda del Vallès, one of the points that both the post-convergent and the socialists demand of the Government of the Generalitat in budget negotiations.

In this negotiation, in which the PSC, JxCat and the Government continue to be immersed with different perspectives and rhythms, the two groups coincide in demanding that the Executive of Pere Aragonès activate projects such as the Hard Rock, and issues related to infrastructures, such as the expansion from El Prat airport and the aforementioned Ronda Nord. They are folders that the Government looks at with reservations, but in the Parliament the two groups have been approving various resolutions in this regard throughout the legislature.

The text, which derives from a challenge to Minister Juli Fernández in the previous plenary session -in this he has returned to address the issue at the request of the PSC and the commons and there will be new motions-, also calls for compliance with the agreements adopted in the motions and resolutions of the Parliament in relation to infrastructures.

The head of Territori, for now, advocates studying the connectivity between Castellar del Vallès and the C-58 at the height of Sabadell, and that the rail network unite both municipalities, but he is opposed to the fourth belt. The Junts text, on the other hand, calls for an agreement and financing agreement between the Government and the Ministry of Transport that guarantees the drafting of the Ronda Nord project, which must connect Sabadell and Terrassa.

The motion also calls for the central government to transfer the resources of the third additional provision of the Statute corresponding to the years 2009-2013 and 759 million euros between 2021 and 2024 to compensate for the 2008 deficit. reference to the transfer of Rodalies.

Parliament also broadly approved yesterday a new neighborhood law that creates an urban recovery fund to subsidize projects that modernize and adapt vulnerable areas of the territory. The text was validated by all the groups except CUP and PP, which abstained, and Vox, which voted against. This rule repeals and replaces the 2004 law that promoted the first tripartite with Pasqual Maragall at the helm.
