Junqueras calls on the PSOE and Sumar to "move" to seek an investiture agreement

The president of ERC, Oriol Junqueras, this Saturday called on the PSOE and Sumar to "move" to seek an investiture agreement, instead of "distributing ministries, chairs and salaries", and has warned that it will be "very difficult" to support them without an improvement in the financing of Catalonia.

In his speech at the ERC Municipalist Convention held in Llinars del Vallès (Vallès Oriental), Junqueras attacked PSOE and Sumar because their "priority" in the negotiations for the investiture is to "share" the positions, while the Republicans seek " work for the well-being of the people.

"If PSOE and Sumar hope that one day we can reach an investiture agreement, they must understand that our priority is the people, society, the well-being and prosperity of all the people who live in this country," said Junqueras, who has demanded sufficient financing for Catalonia and that the "deficits" of the commuter and medium-distance train service be resolved.

After claiming the importance of the work carried out in the municipal world at the service of society, the ERC leader has accused the Spanish Government of trying to "cut the resources of the town councils", which in his opinion has a negative impact on the policies social, educational, economic promotion and employment.

In that sense, he has warned that if PSOE and Sumar do not understand the need to "protect the financing" of health services, hospitals, schools, institutes, universities or town councils, they make it "very difficult" for there to be an investiture agreement. with CKD.

"They must move to seek that agreement, which involves guaranteeing a future of freedom, justice and prosperity for citizens," he added.
