Jorge Javier's harsh reflection after the failure of 'Cuentos Chinos': ''I'm sorry for not knowing how to find the key''

Jorge Javier Vázquez does not win for disappointment. After spending a period away from the small screen and the new management of Mediaset España deciding to cancel Sálvame, a program he presented and which had been broadcast for more than 14 years, the Catalan philologist was very excited about his return to television.

Vázquez signed for Cuentos Chinos, a casual space in prime time access that would compete directly against El Hormiguero. Despite the enthusiasm and desire, Telecinco has decided to cancel the program due to poor audience data. This decision has shocked thousands of users on the network, since the entertainment and current affairs format was one of the big bets of the season.

As many fans and media expected, the communicator did not take long to speak out and sent a brief statement through a publication on his official Instagram account.

''I came to the neighborhood ready to stay for a long time, but the rents are through the roof! It has not been. From here my most sincere congratulations to Pablo Motos, Carlos Sobera and Wyoming. Stars because they remain on the fringe thanks to what we all look for when starting a program: success,' wrote Belén Esteban's friend, using his now characteristic irony.

''It's time to pack your bags and, as Manuela Carmena told us yesterday: Keep trusting in life. Always. Thank you and sorry for not having been able to find the key to your complicity. That's the shame I have left,' the presenter stated, clearly showing that he feels frustrated and helpless in the face of the failure of his interview space.

In the post that he uploaded to his profile on the pink social network, the former partner of María Patiño and Lydia Lozano has shared three snapshots: one of himself posing on the set of the program, a photo in which he appears with Jing Jing (mascot from Cuentos Chinos) and another image with Susi Caramelo.

No one can say that the results were good or that there was a great fandom of the show presented by the Catalan, but Jorge Javier Vázquez's publication has been filled with hundreds of comments of affection and love from colleagues, family and followers.

''Courage, sometimes you have to fall to be able to get up stronger'', ''You are an example of talent and improvement and we will see you again soon for sure'', ''You are the best'', ''Save me back'' ', ''You've done it ten. Don't be left with any regrets'' or ''I loved the format. I laughed a lot. And I'm going to miss him'' are some of the messages that can be read in the post.
