Joana Sanz speaks out for the first time about her support for Dani Alves after leaving prison: "I am not a masochist"

Dani Alves has become one of the most talked about and sought after characters today after his release from prison. The former FC Barcelona, Sevilla and Mexican Pumas player paid the bail of one million euros imposed by the judge with the help of his closest circle, ending his stay in Can Brians. Since then, many people have spoken out about the events.

The last of them was his wife, Joana Sanz. Since the final sentence against the Brazilian for rape became known, the only image shared by the model on her networks was a photograph of her holding her husband's hand. Her opinion after Alves' release on bail has been one of the most collated by the media, and the Tenerife woman has ended up breaking her silence through a video on her Instagram profile.

“How wonderful to work with the smell of the ocean! I wanted to take advantage, since it is my 'day off', since I will be here to work for a week," explained Sanz after showing the views of his room, in an unidentified coastal town. It was then that the model spoke about how she has lived the last few days, without giving specifics about Alves' situation. In concrete terms, she has ruled out the need to receive negative messages.

“I wanted to thank the people who have hugged me on the street, who have approached me to give me words of affection. There are very beautiful people, and I stick with that, which is what continues to keep me here on social networks, otherwise I would take everything away. Because, for what? I am not a masochist to be receiving hate and, well, anyway... I am happy, content, excited, working and working, and in peace of mind," were her words.

The former player's wife has joined other family members who spoke out after learning of his release on bail. Lucía Alves, mother of the soccer player, shared up to three different publications to celebrate the release of her son. The first of them was accompanied by a photograph of the accused with a close friend: “Friends forever. Together to infinity and beyond. “God always commands.”

This last phrase was repeated in the second publication shared by Lucía, this time a joint photograph of mother and son: “God always commands. I love you my son". The third and last, already published hours after her son left Can Brians, sent a message with religious connotations to thank Dani Alves for being free. It was the lyrics of the song Passa Lá em Casa Jesus, by Kailane Frauches.

“And look at the answer that Jesus gives you today. Son, I'm going to your problem. Son, I'm going there, for me there is no dilemma. The promise is not dead, the inheritance still stands. Don't lose faith. Get up. Get up, there is life. There is life, there is life. Come through the house, Jesus,” the verses said.
