The Association of Cinematographic Informants of Spain (AICE) has issued a statement in which it "strongly" repudiates and condemns the alleged sexual assaults that have been reported at the party after the Feroz 2023 Awards gala and for which he has been arrested the producer Javier Pérez Santana, 55, and the participation of another man is being investigated. A man and the actress Jedet would be the two possible victims.
According to the IAEC, the event's security team intervened as soon as they learned of the incident, assisting a man and Jedet, who suffered touching and continuous harassment by the alleged perpetrators, "members of the team from one of the films nominated for the Feroz Awards" and that they will be "banned for life" from events organized by the association, its president, María Guerra, has informed EFE.
Guerra, who did not attend the subsequent event, has expressed the organization's "tremendous disgust and sadness" that the celebration of these awards "has ended like this."
The alleged events occurred between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. this Sunday, in the Espacio Ebro in Zaragoza, where the party was held. The Family and Women's Unit (UFAM) of the National Police is investigating what happened.
Once the event was known, since it led to a "small altercation", the presence of the police was immediately requested, which has taken charge of these complaints and the investigation.
The IAICE announces in the statement that once what happened is clarified, the alleged perpetrators of this act will be banned from the Feroz Awards and from all activities organized by the association, while offering all its support to the victims.
The organization assures that they always work so that the Feroz and all their events are a safe place, which is why they are collaborating with the police to clarify what happened.
