This Thursday the application process for the so-called "Shopping Basket Voucher" created by the Generalitat Valenciana, in collaboration with local businesses and the main Valencian food distribution companies, is activated. An aid that translates into a 90-euro card , in prepaid card format and which will be activated for four months from its issuance, for families residing in the Valencian Community with a low level of income.
Its objective is to pay for essential food in all establishments in the Valencian food sector. The budget is up to 48.44 million euros and it is estimated that it can reach some 500,000 beneficiaries. To access, the coexistence unit may not exceed an annual income of 21,000 euros (data declared in the 2021 income) and will be compatible with the central government aid of €200 euros that is open until March 31, 2023.
For this, the Valencian Government has already activated a web page through which it will be possible to access the request for a prior appointment through a direct access on that same web portal. Subsequently, the request for the Shopping Basket Bonus may be executed in the interval assigned in the previous appointment.
The subsequent review of applications and documentation submitted will lead to the subsequent administrative resolution that the Minister of Finance, Arcadi Spain, promised to be "as agile as possible" so that the first cards begin to be delivered this coming May.
The communication of the granting of the aid will be carried out via informative sms/e-mail, in which the resolution will be reported and details will be given of where to collect the "Shopping Basket Voucher" in question.
In this sense, the Generalitat Valenciana ensures that the distribution will be made through a distribution network that will allow the card to be brought closer to citizens throughout the territory.
