The desired rain has finally arrived this Wednesday in Catalonia, as shown in this photograph captured in Gavà, in Baix Llobregat, for La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos. Desired and very necessary, what a joy of rain that we hope will be generous throughout the day.
The element that stands out in the image is the effect of the rain drops on the car glass before passing the windshield. When this acts, as it continues to rain, it will fill with drops again, what size?
The number of drops obviously depends on the intensity of the rain. They do not fall uniformly on the glass, among other things, due to the action of the wind at the time of rain.
When the rain stops and the car is parked, without the need to operate the windshield, the drops will remain on the glass in different shapes and sizes.
Little by little, they will evaporate. The smallest ones will do so first, but it will also be observed that other droplets will move downwards and join other droplets, which will thus increase in size as they merge with each other, until, finally, they will also end up evaporating.
