Guanyem Badalona en Comú presents a candidate sentenced to three years of disqualification

Guanyem Badalona en Comú has presented the activist Marcel Vivet as number 3 of the candidacy that Dolors Sabater will lead in the next municipal elections in May. In this way, the organization wants to make visible its fight against the repression of the independence movement. And it is that the announcement has been made despite the fact that Vivet has a three-year disqualification sentence for the incidents of the demonstration against the Jusapol police association in Barcelona in 2018.

During her presentation as a leading member of Dolores Sabater's candidacy, Vivet insisted that her job is to "fight" against repression and participate in her city's politics "despite the fact that there are people who don't want it." Vivet says that there have been many attempts to stop him, but that despite this, she will continue.

The activist, who became known for the conviction for the incidents of the protest against Jusapol, had already been linked to Guanyem Badalona and in the past had been part of Dolors Sabater's team of advisers. Now the candidate gives him a relevant place on the list to strengthen, says Sabater, the "leadership that Badalona needs."

The former mayor and now again a mayoral candidate defends the incorporation of Vivet as a "great contribution", both for Guanyem Badalona and for the city. She situating him as number 3 on the Sabater list that Vivet will be a person who "will govern" in Badalona "providing objectives for the youth".
