In The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we find ourselves surrounded by fields within the municipal area of Santa Maria de Palautordera (Vallès Oriental).

Some fields that in recent hours have been watered by rain. A very welcome and necessary rain for farmers and nature.

And thanks to this rain, one of the clear effects that we can observe is that we will see the fields with more vigorous green tones, as can be seen in the photographs.

Agriculture of cereals, potatoes and vineyards, along with horticulture, are the main agricultural operations of Santa Maria de Palautordera.

The municipality of Santa Maria de Palautordera, due to its proximity to the Tordera River, has traditionally been rich in water. This is demonstrated by the high number of ponds that were formerly used for irrigation.
