Glenn Close, Dwayne Johnson, Samuel L. Jackson and Ariana DeBose are some of the actors confirmed as presenters of the 95th edition of the Oscars, the Hollywood Academy reported Thursday. Emily Blunt, Jennifer Connelly, Troy Kotsur, Riz Ahmed, Michael B. Jordan, Jonathan Majors, Melissa McCarthy, Janelle Monáe, Deepika Padukone, Questlove, Zoe Saldaña and Donnie Yen complete the first list of stars who will participate in the gala.

The rest of the personalities will be announced in the days prior to the most renowned film event in the industry, which will take place on March 12 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles (USA).

The organization also recently confirmed the participation of Rihanna, who will sing the song 'Lift Me Up', from the film Black Panther: Wankanda Forever, while Sofia Carson and Diane Warren will perform 'Applause', from Tell It Like A Woman.

David Byrne, Son Lux and Stephanie Hsu will also perform at the ceremony with the song 'This Is a Life', from the film All at Once Everywhere.

The host of the gala will be the comedian and presenter Jimmy Kimmel. It is the third time of him leading the ceremony.

The films that are emerging as the favorites to win the Oscar for best film are Everything at the same time everywhere, which recently won the Producers Guild Award, The Fabelmans, by Steven Spielberg, after its triumph at the Golden Globes, as well as Edward Berger's All Quiet Front, which was crowned at the BAFTA Awards.

In the premier category there are also big-budget works such as the films Top Gun: Maverick, by Joseph Kosinski, and Avatar: The Sense of Water, by James Cameron, and films with less commercial projection such as The Triangle of Sadness, by Ruben Östlund , or They speak, by the filmmaker Sarah Polley.
