Girona FC reportedly paid 55,000 euros to a company run by the Vice President of the Referees Technical Committee, José María Enríquez Negreira to carry out coaching work. According to information collected by El Periódico, the Girona club would have contracted the services of Soccercam S.L., a company of which the vice-president of the referees, who has been questioned by the Barcelona Prosecutor's Office in relation to the 1.4 million euros, was empowered. that FC Barcelona would have paid him for advice between 2016 and 2018.

According to this information, between September 2010 and November 2011 Girona paid the amount of 55,000 euros, plus VAT, travel expenses and premiums to this company for coaching work. A task carried out by the son of the number two Spanish referee, Javier Enríquez, who is listed as a Soccercam partner in the Commercial Registry.

In his first season at the Catalan club, he received 3,000 per month for his work as a mental coach. The team finished the course in eleventh position and the following season his fees doubled to 6,000 euros per month until on November 5, Girona communicated his dismissal by letter, they explain.

El Periódico has had access to the judicial dispute between the club and Enríquez Negreira's company for the unilateral termination of the contract. Although at first the Court of First Instance number 2 of Girona sentenced the Girona entity to pay compensation of 63,700 euros, the Provincial Court of Girona ended up estimating that the club only had to pay the amount corresponding to the October payroll and the five days of November that were pending payment at the end of the contract, about eight thousand euros.

Javier Enríquez, 50, played in the lower categories of Barcelona and Espanyol, in addition to clubs such as Sabadell, Hospitalet or Valencia. At the club he began as a technical assistant to Valdano, Rainieri and Luis Aragonés, with whom he would also work with the Spanish team in the 2006 World Cup and in the 2008 Euro Cup.
