About 260 nursing homes in the North Metropolitan Health Region have started vaccination against covid and flu this Wednesday.
The Department of Health estimates that around 12,500 residents of Vallès, Barcelonès Nord and Maresme will receive the vaccines.
The manager of the Health Region, Arturo Miguez, has highlighted that the latest vaccination campaigns have given "exceptionally good" results in terms of infections and symptoms, which is why he has highlighted that it is "very important" to get vaccinated.
Starting October 16, vaccines will be administered to other risk groups and the general population. Apart from the CAPs, there will be walk-in service points in Badalona, Sabadell and Les Franqueses.
