In La Vanguardia Readers' Photos we can see this series of photographs of the beautiful sunset that could be seen yesterday in Matadepera, in the Vallès Occidental, with a wonderful play of clouds and even a rainbow crowned La Mola.
The rainbow photograph was taken from a terrace, at 5:15 p.m., after a very cloudy and gray day. Matadepera is located at the foot of the massif of the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac Natural Park, whose highest point is La Mola, at 1104 meters high.
At the summit of La Mola is where the 11th century Romanesque monastery of Sant Llorenç de Munt is located, which was abandoned at the beginning of the 17th century and looted by Napoleon's army in 1809.
After a light rain in the afternoon, the sunset was incredible in Matadepera, with the colorful shapes of the clouds and the reddish color of the candilazo.
As part of the phenomenon of dispersion of sunlight, in the morning and afternoon hours, when the sun is closer to the horizon, the light that reaches the Earth is soft tones between red and orange.
