From Rota to the right to decide, the resolution proposals to be debated this Thursday

All the parliamentary groups finalized this Wednesday afternoon the presentation of the resolutions with which the debate on the state of the nation culminates. The vote on these resolutions will take place tomorrow, Thursday, and it will test the solidity of the majority that supports the Government.

The Popular Party has presented various proposals for resolutions, including the endorsement to the Government to renew the agreement with the United States for the shared use of the Rota base and the expansion with two new destroyers, as agreed by the US president and the Spanish president at the NATO summit.

Podemos has presented a handful of resolutions for tomorrow's vote in which it insists on its demands for increased wages and fiscal pressure, but also addresses other sensitive issues such as the condemnation of the events in Melilla.

In this chapter, Bildu also expresses himself, even suggesting that the Government reverse its new position regarding the Sahara.

Podemos has also presented an initiative for the abolition of the subject of religion in school.

Ciudadanos has also presented its resolutions, among which the presentation of an initiative to change the Constitution and eliminate the distinction between nationalities and regions stands out.

At the opposite extreme, a resolution shared between ERC, BNG and Bildu proposes the implicit recognition of the right to decide. The resolution maintains that “Dialogue and the freely expressed citizen will (are) the only and best democratic instruments for the resolution of territorial political conflicts between the Spanish State and Euskal Herria, Galicia and Catalonia”.

Junts, on its own, has also presented a resolution in which it defends the right to decide and amnesty. And the CUP has also presented a resolution that claims the right to self-determination to which it also adds another proposal for Spain's exit from NATO.

The PDEcat, for its part, has presented initiatives, among which a resolution supporting the dialogue table stands out.

The PNV has also presented various resolutions, among which it claims the recognition and use within the scope of the State of all the official languages in Spain.

In another order of things, it also demands that the autonomous communities be involved in investment programs financed by the European Union.
