Four arrested for brutally beating a tenant who refused to terminate the contract

Agents of the National Police of Palma have arrested four people as alleged perpetrators of a brutal beating of the tenant of a home who was intimidated and extorted into leaving the apartment before the end of his contract, in 2027. The man, a A Pakistani citizen, he was attacked with enormous violence and, among the attackers, he recognized the owner of the apartment.

In an interview given to Ultima Hora, the complainant claims that he fears for his life since he has received threats and extortion to make him leave the home. "If I turn up dead in a ditch or something happens to my wife and the three girls I have, I want them to know that it was them," says the victim in the interview.

The man was attacked by six people, one of them a former national police officer. The brutal attack occurred on the balcony of the home and the entire sequence was recorded with mobile phones by several neighbors and citizens who were passing by on the street at that time. The recording has served to point out the suspects, among whom is the owner of the home.

The man had been intimidating the tenant for days who, before the attackers entered the house, was able to call a friend and 091. The victim suffered injuries of varying degrees and had to be treated at a health center. Several residents of the area recorded with their mobile phones the beatings that the victim received on the terrace, where he had gone in search of refuge.

The National Police agents arrived at the house when the attack took place and took four of them into custody. The victim claims that the owner of the apartment had threatened him to leave it before May 30 since he wanted to use it for tourist rental. She claims that he has a contract until 2027 and has not had any defaults, but the owner began to intimidate him into releasing the apartment as soon as possible.

"They beat me and tried to make me sign the waiver of the contract by beating them," he adds in the interview. He claims they even pulled out police badges and threatened to arrest him if he didn't sign the waiver. The man also claims that the owner of the apartment forced him to pay an amount of black money for the rent.
