New harassment situation in a school in Madrid. In this case, by the director of the grouped rural center of Lozoya, in the northern mountains of the Community of Madrid, against five teachers.
The teachers testified this Wednesday in the Torrelaguna court of first instance regarding the corresponding complaints filed against the director of this center for workplace and, in some cases, sexual harassment.
The events happened during the last academic year. And due to what happened, these teachers are on leave or have had to request a change of destination so as not to continue practicing their profession this year in the same center where the harasser is who they have been forced to report.
The CCOO Teaching Federation of Madrid denounces that "despite the serious accusations, the Ministry of Education has not acted." To which they add: "It seems to us an outrage and a less than humane treatment that the majority of the teachers who have opened the protocol have had to give up developing their professional work in their destination center."
CCOO submitted a letter a month ago to the Ministry of Education, headed by Emiliano Viciana, to request protection measures for those affected, but no precautionary measure has been taken by the government chaired by Isabel Díaz Ayuso.
