Pallars Jussà's 2024-2027 trade report and commercial revitalization plan has detected a significant "flight" of buyers to other regions and via the Internet.

Trying to stop this trend and for residents to see Pallars Jussà as their first purchase option is one of the challenges of the plan.

The document proposes thirty actions to develop in the next four years, including promoting the professionalization of the sector, scheduling joint activities and promoting the 'Fem Pallars' brand so that it is recognized by the residents of Pallars and people who come from outside. .

The Plan also proposes actions to stop the "commercial desertification" of more towns.

Tremp and La Pobla de Segur are the two towns in Jussà with the largest commercial weight. In Isona and Torre de Capdella there are shops but fewer.

Carme Peix, Idra consultant and person in charge of the study, explained that among the weak points that the interviewees have pointed out is the lack of supply in the region and the perception of expensive prices. Reversing these sensations are some of the challenges of the plan.

Now, to carry out these actions, the public and private sectors must coordinate with the aim of consolidating the sector.

The mayor of Tremp, Sílvia Romero, has said that the city council has already reserved an amount of more than 20,000 euros for this.

In parallel with the actions proposed in the plan, consensus will have to be reached with merchants; actions are already being taken and the implementation of smart lockers in different municipalities has been mentioned for the distribution of orders that will be installed soon. This action will be financed with Next Generation funds from the Ministry of Industry and Tourism.
