Feijóo appeals to the PSOE to form a stable government because "the state parties" have won

Alberto Núñez Feijóo does not give up trying to be president. Neither the refusal of the PNV to talk about the possibility of forming a government, transmitted by the president of the Basque party, Andoni Orduzar, to the leader of the PP, in a telephone conversation, nor the decision of Pedro Sánchez, manifested by the acting president of the Government since Sunday night, nothing to do to the popular leader to stop trying.

This Tuesday, in Santiago de Compostela, where he went to participate in the events on the day of Santiago, the president of the PP insisted on his intentions and is not giving up. His gaze, now, is on the PSOE, as the "state party" that it is. A qualification that during the Feijóo campaign had withdrawn the socialist leader, although not the PSOE, nor the socialist party that he expected to emerge after the general elections.

Now the PSOE of Pedro Sánchez is worth it. In his opinion, it is the PP and the PSOE who have to find a way out of the situation created, in order to form a stable government, which in his opinion can only be done by "the two state parties."

"Spain deserves stability", even more so as it currently holds the rotating presidency of the European Union, and having to "negotiate the spending rule in Brussels", and to make a budget that must be in accordance with what Europe demands. "These are times that demand stability and centrality," stressed Feijóo, who considers that it would be "a huge mistake for the independentistas to govern, who have lost seats, support and votes", while "the state parties", he stressed "have won in votes and seats".

For this reason, the president of the PP will try to speak with the PSOE, "to give the Spaniards what they have voted for at the polls," he said. His hope is to speak with the PSOE next week, since in the message that Sánchez and Feijóo exchanged on election night, the acting President of the Government referred him to after the vote of the absent residents is known, to have a conversation. The recount of the CERA vote will take place on Friday, with which the final data will be known on Saturday.

The no that the PNV has transferred to its intention to count on the Basque nationalists to be able to form a Government, does not lower Feijóo from his claims. "To say that you do not have support for having spoken with a group that says no, is a hasty conclusion," maintains the president of the PP, who recalls that UPN and CC "be in the best disposition."

In the coming days, the popular leader maintains his intention to speak with the PSOE and Vox, and as long as he does not know the position of these two parties, he will not give up. He insists that "it is very important that Spain sends a message to Europe that it takes the presidency very seriously and is not going to waste it", and that is why it would be important for the government to be in the hands of state and Europeanist parties, he says, just as it would be good, he says, that "the fourth largest economy in Europe is not subject to groups and politicians, some fugitive from justice, and parties that are not interested in Spain".

He concluded that "I am interested in Spain" and considers that he has received a mandate from the Spanish, being the force with the most votes, to form "a stable majority" and that is what he will do in the coming weeks. That is why he considers that "it is an obligation" that he has, to speak with the other groups, starting with "the socialist candidate" and he will do that, he hopes next week ".
