On the unemployment side, it has remained stable, with 356 fewer unemployed in the month. Only Barcelona sees unemployment grow, with 157 more unemployed. In total there are 257,912 unemployed. In Girona, Lleida and Tarragona the decreases were slight, between 116 and 233 people. Lleida is where the least unemployed are registered in absolute terms, with 18,210.

According to the records of the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, during the second month of the year there have been more than 350,000 unemployed (351,288), but the lowest total since 2008 in a month of February has once again been marked.

Regarding the increase in affiliation, in Catalonia there are already 3,603,745 employed, which is the highest figure in the entire historical series, which goes back to 2004. The upturn in job creation represents a change in dynamics after the decreases registered in January (-37,600) and December (-2,100) originated the end of the Christmas season.
