The International Cycling Union (UCI) made official the cancellation of the motivated stage to "guarantee the safety of the runners". "The UCI has made the decision to stop the Tour of the Pyrenees. After consulting the main sectors of the event: the CPA Women, the CPA with its president Adam Hansen, the teams, stewards and the organizing committee, the day's stage will not take place," the UCI said.
