A day later the complaint was filed for her separation and, after 48 hours, the Hong Kong authorities broke into a country house rented by the victim's ex-father-in-law where they located the lower extremities of the influencer.

Choi's ex-husband, ex-in-laws and ex-brother-in-law face several murder charges pending the police collect all the evidence since, for the moment, neither the head nor the arms of the murdered model have yet been located. .

The investigation points to the former father-in-law as the mastermind of the plot to assassinate her because of a dispute over a property valued at millions of dollars, according to the local press.

Police, who have arranged a hundred officers, including a team of elite divers, to search for Choi's head, hands and other body parts in a confined area near the Tseung Kwan O cemetery, seized the home. of a meat slicer, an electric saw and some clothes supposedly related to the case.

Added to this is his alleged involvement in a gold scam valued at about 5 million Hong Kong dollars (603,000 euros, 636,000 dollars).

Choi had become internationally known as a model, eventually walking in Elie Saab's spring-summer 2023 haute couture show in Paris and recently appearing on the digital cover of luxury magazine L'Officiel Monaco.

Choi's two children and her ex-husband, ages 10 and 8, will remain in the custody of the model's mother. So will the other two children that the influencer had with her last partner with whom she planned to marry soon.
