El Mobile closes a successful edition with 88,500 attendees

The Mobile World Congress is once again that great congress that fills each and every one of the corners of the eight pavilions of the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via venue. The sensation of constant activity that has not been experienced inside since 2019 has returned with force this year. The hall has closed its doors this afternoon with 88,500 attendees.

They are not yet the more than 100,000 that came together before the pandemic, but it is not the objective of the organizers either. The GSMA is increasingly committed to promoting quality over quantity and is proud of the fact that more than half of the attendees are senior managers with decision-making power. They are the ones who do business in the two-story stands that populate this ephemeral city that lasts four days a year.

Despite having installed its home in one of the largest fairgrounds in all of Europe, the evolution of the show shows that it needs to grow and gain space. The extension that Fira plans for the next few years just opposite is crucial to give air to saturated corridors during almost every day.
