EDEM connects its student talent with a hundred companies at the Job Fair

Last Tuesday, EDEM held its 2023 Job Fair at the Marina de Empresas facilities, a forum in which 95 prominent companies were able to offer jobs and internships to around 700 students, most of them students of bachelor's and master's degrees. the school.

“Year after year, the fair is consolidating itself as a unique meeting point between the talent that is trained in our classrooms and companies. We want both to bring professional opportunities closer to our students and graduates and to make it easier for companies to recruit profiles that adapt to their needs,” explains Sergio Esteve, head of Professional Careers at EDEM.

Of the 700 students, about 80% were undergraduate and master's students, while the rest were former students and experienced profiles from the Executive Education area eager to take a step forward in their career.

The participating companies located their stands throughout the Marina de Empresas facilities, both in interior and exterior areas, with spaces enabled so that personal interviews could be held with attendees and for networking. Among them are companies such as Siemens, Capgemini, Power Electronics, Broseta, Baleària, Norauto, Hays, Pamesa, Grefusa, PwC, Jysk, EY, BigBuy, Zeus, PowerCo, Deloitte, Helados Estiu, Nunsys, Cajamar, Mecalux, Sopra Steria, Acciona, KPMG, Sanlucar, Aquaservice, NTT Data, Boluda, GFT or Prosolia.

Among the job offers presented, the most numerous were those related to business and business management: finance, marketing, HR, commercial, business and technology consulting, data analytics, purchasing, engineering, operations or project management, among others areas.

Previously, for a week, the Department of Professional Careers of EDEM organized a series of actions to better prepare its students for the beginning of their working life.

Among the initiatives developed are talks with companies, where professionals from these organizations explained their day-to-day life, and the “Your future in progress” conference, in which HR professionals gave advice on how to prepare a good curriculum vitae and how face an interview in a selection process.

“The employability of our students is a priority, and this is reflected in EDEM's mission, which highlights its role as a source of talent for society. Therefore, we are very satisfied with the great response that both participating companies and students have given in the third edition of the fair,” explains Elena Fernández, general director of EDEM.
