Dogs surf the waves of California

Dozens of dogs in wetsuits surf the California waves at the start of the World Dog Surfing Championships in Pacifica. The canines, trained to surf, ride the waves as part of the competition. "Cherie likes to squat on the board, she's pretty much a big rock: she squats on her back, her butt goes up, her chest goes down," says Dan Nyaolayao, whose surfer dog Cherie participated in the event.
