David Madí assures that he feels "group raped" by the judges, the Prosecutor's Office and the police

The former communication secretary of Convergència and businessman David Madí has assured that he feels "group raped" by the judges, the Prosecutor's Office and the police for the judicial cases in which he has been involved. Artur Mas' former adviser has denounced a persecution "with a political vocation" and "prospective" through the Volhov operation, the cause for which he was arrested in October 2020 and which was filed in relation to him last week.

In statements to RAC1, Madí has highlighted his status as a victim of the Catalonia operation and has charged against a judicial, police and media network that, in his opinion, exists throughout the Spanish State and also in Catalonia. "In this country there is no investigative journalism, there is leak journalism," Madí snapped to criticize the media for information that has been published in recent years about the Volhov case.

David Madí was arrested on October 28, 2020 after an investigation that sought links between the independence movement and Russia. His case led to an alleged influence peddling for his business that the judge himself, Joaquín Aguirre, ended up ruling out. "They found nothing on the Russian theme and, with a prospective vocation, they made a tailor-made suit to produce an artificial case," exclaimed who was part of the hard core of former president Artur Mas. Madí -who has recalled that he was investigated through his "telephone, Pegasus and microphones in the car"- has denounced the repercussions that he has had in his personal and professional sphere. "They dedicated themselves to destroying my customers and business operations," he said.

In this sense, he has criticized the "impunity" with which, in his opinion, certain officials act, for which reason he proposes drawing up a law on the abuse of public officials. The objective of this rule would be to stop "a series of officials who can destroy the lives of many people." The former CDC leader has spoken in line with what he said at the end of 2022, when he denounced "microvillarejos" and "sewers" in the Mossos d'Esquadra.

Madí maintains several judicial fronts open. One of them is that of Tsunami Democràtic. The Civil Guard considers him one of the promoters and thus informed the central court 6 of the National Court, that he is the one who handles this case declared secret and for which no one has yet been charged. Mas' former adviser has denied any role in organizing the protests after the procés ruling.

At the same time, Madí is under investigation and will have to testify in the case of Egara Ambulances, regarding irregularities in the awarding of medical transport contracts by the Generalitat. This cause derives from 3%, like that of the audiovisual production company Triacom. The former member of the CDC has denied responsibility in these cases and has circumscribed it to an "organized plot with the objective of stopping the process".
