Crimes in Lleida drop by 10% in the first semester compared to the same period in 2022

The total number of crimes registered in Lleida has decreased by 9.7% during the first half of the year compared to the same period in 2022, according to the data presented this Wednesday by the Minister of the Interior, Joan Ignasi Elena, after the Local Board of Security held at the Paeria de Lleida.

The number of arrests increased slightly (1.4%) in the city and the resolution grows by 4.3 points.

Elena highlighted the joint work and proximity between the department and the Lleida town hall to favor the detection of trouble spots in the city and improve police effectiveness.

In this sense, the Mossos d'Esquadra have reinforced security during the closing hours of shops in the Eix Comercial with two other patrols since June.
