Complications on the AP-7 in the return operation

A total of 101,697 vehicles have already returned to the Barcelona metropolitan area this Monday between 12pm and 4pm, according to the Catalan Traffic Service (SCT).

Thus, Catalan roads have already assumed 40.7% of the routes planned in the return operation for the Mercè festival, which will end this midnight.

Throughout the morning there have been complications on the AP-7 after a truck was left crossed in the middle of the road at the height of Roca del Vallès, towards Tarragona. Traffic has been restricted to a single lane, which has caused queues of more than 13 kilometers between Vallgorguina and La Roca in the south direction and two kilometers in the north direction.

As a result of the truck that has blocked several lanes of the AP-7, other roads such as the C-60, the B-40z, the C-35 and the BV-5105 have also been affected. At the moment, traffic on the AP-7 has improved a lot and there is only vehicle intensity between Roca del Vallès and Granollers, in the south direction.

Furthermore, on the C-25 there is a lane blocked in Arbúcies towards Girona by a broken down truck and this causes traffic jams. There is also slow traffic due to works on the C-31 in Gualta in both directions and on the C-65 in Santa Cristina d'Aro towards Llagostera. In addition, there is also a high influx of cars on the B-30, in Barberà, heading south.

Since early this Monday, TV-3454 in L'Aldea has been blocked by an overturned truck.

The SCT estimates that some 250,000 vehicles will return to the Barcelona metropolitan area this Monday.
