Cellnex's income grew by 38% in the last year

Cellnex's income grew by 38% in the last year

The latest results of Tobías Martínez as Cellnex's chief executive maintain the trend of recent years with revenue growth of 38%, to 3,499 million euros. The company once again ends in losses. Last year they were 297 million. This is a lower figure than the 363 million of the previous year,

These red numbers are fundamentally explained by the purchasing strategy carried out by the company since its creation, since it must carry out amortizations and assume the financing costs. The gross result increased by 37%, up to 2,630 million.

In a press release sent to the CNMV, the group has informed that the forecast is that this year the income will be between 4,100 and 4,300 million euros. In a statement, Tobías Martínez, CEO of Cellnex, stressed that "the change in the macroeconomic environment has obviously influenced our activity, especially with regard to managing our costs. After a long period with low inflation , in 2022 it increased significantly in most of our markets"

Infrastructure Services for mobile Telecommunications operators contributed 90.4% (3,163 million euros) to revenue, representing a growth of 42.8% compared to 2021. As of December 31, Cellnex had a total of 110,830 operational sites.

The company's net financial debt –as of February 2023, excluding lease liabilities– amounts to 16.9 billion euros. 77% of the debt is referenced to a fixed rate.
