Businesses affected by the works on metro line 7B will receive compensation of up to 50,000 euros

The Community of Madrid has approved a plan for the economic reactivation of companies and businesses affected by the construction of Metro line 7B by which they will compensate merchants on Nazario Calonge, Presa, and Presa streets with a maximum of 50,000 euros per location. This was announced yesterday afternoon by the Minister of Transport, Housing and Infrastructure, Jorge Rodrigo, in statements sent to the media at the end of a meeting with the mayor of San Fernando de Henares, Javier Corpa.

The regional Government has already published this strategic plan in the 'Official Community Gazette' (BOCM) and the forecast is that throughout the month of January the regulatory bases and call for these aid will be published, which will have an investment of half a million euros for this direct aid of up to 50,000 euros that will cover, among other things, the cost of rent or the mortgage of the premises where your business is located.

This has been the third meeting between administrations since Rodrigo has been a counselor, after which he celebrated that "communication is fluid, that it works and, above all, he is trying by all means to solve the situation of these families."

In this sense, the advisor to the Government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso has said that for the Madrid Executive "the most important thing is to continue paying compensation to the affected families."

Thus, in addition, the counselor has informed the mayor that the regional government has planned an investment of 63.3 million euros in the 2024 budgets to cover the payment of different actions included in the Comprehensive Plan of San Fernando de Henares, among which include compensation for property liability, the maintenance of the attention office for those affected by the works on Metro line 7B and the execution of actions aimed at improving the infrastructure of this line.
