Buo: the cheapest supermarket in Spain arrives in Barcelona to combat inflation

Inflation in Spain has reached the highest level in 37 years: the Consumer Price Index (CPI) shot up to 10.2% in June, and the population is looking for alternatives that allow them to spend less. Buo was born in this context, an online supermarket app whose objective is for its customers to save up to 30% per month through group purchases.

By bringing consumers together, their bargaining power with suppliers increases and they achieve group discounts and lower prices than those stipulated in large supermarket chains. In addition, intermediaries and obstacles until now present in online purchases such as shipping costs or minimum orders are eliminated. When these factors converge, consumers spend an average of 120 euros less in their monthly shopping basket, which consolidates Buo as the cheapest supermarket in Spain.

In the application you can find everything from food or hygiene products, to other cleaning or baby products. When a purchase is completed, Buo serves it to the customer within one to two days at a collection point located no more than five minutes from home. This online supermarket has more than 50 collection points in Barcelona, Badalona and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat.

During the shipping process, the buyer can see the status of his order through the application. In addition, Buo has an operational support service seven days a week to solve any incident

Buo will increase the number of collection points in Barcelona and plans to start providing service in Madrid next month. In addition, with the aim of building logistics synergies and acquiring strategic knowledge in terms of market expansion, it has closed a long-term operational agreement with Glovo.
