The Brugalla
Works by Joan Guinjoan, Carles Suriñach, Antoni Soler, Montserrat Campmany will be performed... Or also a premiere by Ramon Humet, written for the piano duo and which is a particular vision of Gesualdo's madrigal Mille volte il dì moro, "with resonances, motivic proliferations and surprising harmonies", according to the composer.
But along with these premieres of contemporary work there will also be the rescue of works such as Aguafuertes by Joaquim Zamacois, and Tema variat by Josep Valls, who was an outstanding student of Millet i Morera but who had to go into exile to France after the Civil War. On the 25th anniversary of his death, the concert at the Conservatori del Liceu vindicates him as an important musician of the post-war generation who has a rich catalog yet to be discovered. The program is completed by works by Antoni Soler, Montserrat Campmany and Jaume Padrós.
