Blanes gives three municipal plots for the construction of 86 social rental apartments

The Blanes City Council, in the La Selva region (Girona), has unanimously approved the transfer of three municipal properties to the Fundació Salas for the construction of 86 social rental apartments. This transfer was approved this Monday in a plenary session convened urgently.

The reason for the speed in carrying out the transfer is to enter the deadline of an aid program for the construction of social rental housing in energy-sustainable buildings. If the point had been raised in the next ordinary plenary session this October, the promotion would not have been included.

The properties are located in the Valldolig neighborhood and have been transferred to the Salas Foundation, which will be in charge of the promotion. Subsequently, the Nou Lloc Social Housing Private Foundation will manage the rentals when the apartments have already been built.

Blanes is making progress in the promotion of social housing and this Monday night the transfer of three properties in the Valldolig neighborhood to the Fundació Salas to build 86 social rental apartments was unblocked. This is a 75-year transfer that the council approves for three properties located in the same area.

One of the properties is on 23 Anoia Street, where 36 homes are planned. The second is on 10-12 Torrent Ses Vernes street, where there will be 28 more apartments and the third plot is on 29 Anoia street. 29 homes will be built there.

The Salas Foundation will be in charge of the promotion of this set of flats and the subsequent management of the social rental will be in the hands of the Private Foundation Nou Lloc Social Housing.
