Billie Eilish confirms that she belongs to the LGBTIQ collective: "Wasn't it obvious?"

Billie Eilish is one of the most recognized artists on the current music scene. Everything that the singer of songs like Loveley or Ocean Eyes does is analyzed with a magnifying glass, and in the last few hours, she has made a lot of headlines after confessing an aspect about her personal life. The Californian artist was clear this Saturday at an event organized by Variety, a magazine to which she gave an interview. In it, she hinted at her belonging to the LGBTIQ collective.

As reported by TMZ, when asked if she decided to come out in the interview, she replied: "I thought, 'Wasn't it obvious'? I didn't realize that people didn't know." "But I saw the article and thought, 'Oh, I guess I came out today,'" she said. "Okay, great. It's exciting for me because I guess people didn't know, but it's great that they know," she said, settling all kinds of speculation that had arisen in recent weeks.

In the interview to which the interpreter refers, Eilish talked about how she felt with the rest of the girls. "I never felt like I could relate very well to girls," she said at the time. "I love them so much. I love them as people. I'm attracted to them as people. I'm really attracted to them," she added. It was then that everyone began to wonder if she, in fact, belonged to the collective.

Despite having revealed this detail about her love life, Eilish does not want to label herself. And she, in fact, is also known to have romantic relationships with men, as was the case with Jesse Rutherford, Matthew Tyler Vorce or Brandon Adams. She had a romantic relationship with all three of them in the past. On the other hand, the You Should See Me in a Crown performer has also faced accusations of queerbaiting, which means pretending to belong to the LGBT community only for commercial purposes. It all happened after her all-female music video for Lost Cause came to light.

It was in the interview with Variety when Eilish opened up about how she really felt. "To be honest, I have never felt like a woman. I have never felt desirable. Or feminine. I have yet to convince myself that I am a pretty girl. I identify with the feminine pronouns ['she/her', in English] and things like that, but I've never really felt like a girl," she expressed then.
